This book combines a theoretical understanding of plagiarism with the development of a practical model, called the plagiarism continuum, in an attempt to explain how plagiarism developed and to provide a framework for dealing with plagiarism in higher education. This book is recommended because it is innovative in its approach to the problem of plagiarism in higher education while still being thorough in presenting historical and legal information about the issue. Dr. Sutherland-Smith is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at Monash University in Australia.
